Opening: Cuba Linda (Concord)

this is not their sandwich Cubano, but it also looks delicious
After a soft opening last week, Cuba Linda Tropical Cafe will be open for regular business hours starting this Tuesday, June 7th. Some of the highlights of the menu (which may change as they make some opening tweaks) includes two versions of deep-fried green plantain chips, one with garlic dipping sauce (mariquitas) and the other with mojo dipping sauce (tostones), a pressed sandwich Cubano, and camarones al ajillo con Ron (jumbo shrimp sauteed in garlic-rum sauce, served with arroz blanco, frijoles negros, and maduros. Hopefully they'll be getting a wine and beer license soon, but for now you can try Cuban milkshakes (batidos) or Cuban coffee. There's nothing Cuban about me, so someone else will have to speak to the authenticity of the place, but I've been drooling ever since I tried an amazing Cuban sandwich at Eat Real last year and cannot wait to try Cuba Linda. Peep the full menu here.
