SF Cocktail Week: Preview East Bay Showdown Cocktails

The East Bay Showdown, part of San Francisco Cocktail Week, may not be until Thursday, September 22, but the participating restaurants and bartenders are currently previewing the cocktails they're bringing into battle. Up until the 22nd, you'll have a chance to try the original cocktails on the menu below, and the first 50 to arrive at the Showdown with a completely stamped menu win a "very cool" door prize.

Cocktails are $10, but a portion of the proceeds benefits the charity of the bars choice, which means you can finally feel good about your drinking! And with eleven different cocktails to try, you'll be feeling very VERY good. I'm personally eyeing Acme Bar & Co's Saint Crispin (Bulleit, grapefruit, lemon, and orgeat), Chop Bar's Trapper Keeper (Oxley gin, elderflower, cucumber, lemon, soda), and Hotsy Totsy Club's Dog Days (Oxley gin, Rosato, peach, champagne), but that last one may be mainly because I can't say no to animal charity.

As for the Showdown, mark your calendars for Thursday September 22 at Tessera Gallery, located at 1225 A 7th St., Oakland. Note that promo code MENU will get you $10 off your tickets, which are $55.
