I succumbed. I bought a ticket to Outside Lands. Or rather I’m hoping to buy a ticket off a friend at the buttcrack of dawn Sunday morning after I close the bar, so I can half-heartedly stagger around by the time Arcade Fire takes the stage, Luda at Extravaganza style. Explore Your Craft Widmer Tasting Remember that event write-up I did? Yup, still happening, still going to be awesome, and I’m 90% sure I’ll be there, because I like beer and the insanity of trying to cram as many things as possible into my mouth before frantically trying to make it to work before 10pm.
Sunday, August 14:
Las Positas Vineyards Party: According to Diablo, Las Positas Vineyards is celebrating its brand-spanking-new winery and tasting room with grub, tunes, and wine specials. 12–5pm.
St. Mary’s Summer Wine Festival: In addition to the wines from 30 different wineries, they’ll have beer from Bison, Pacific Coast, and Moylan’s, as well as appetizers and wine toppers for sale. Proceeds benefit student scholarships.
Salsa Night at Vice: Exactly what it sounds like. Lessons from 7:30–8:30pm, followed by dancing. No cover. Expect salsa, merengue, bachata, and reggaeton from the DJ.
