from fictionalfood.net Bay Area News Group is holding a Hunger Games food competition, and I want to do it because I work from home and can technically bake/cook while I fact-check and write. You can do a Capitol dish, meal inspired by Greasy Sae, bake one of the district's breads, or make a "wild card" dish inspired by the books. They all have different deadlines, so feasibly you could do all of those. Color me....way too excited. Seriously. I read those books way too quickly. Peep the deets over at San Jose Mercury News. Random Bits:
According to the Phil's Sliders e-newsletter, the Berkeley restaurant plans to extend bacon cheeseburger Mondays into an all week thang, and pretty soon you'll have beer and wine to wash it down with! I smell a liquor license on the horizon....and bacon. But I always smell bacon.
