Massimo Soprano Night–Get Yo Soprano On

Sometimes, yelling at your date across the table at Dan's while 80s covers are squealed in the background isn't romantic. Shocking, I know. You want to convince someone you actually do care what they're saying but are still a fine connoisseur of the arts? Take them to Soprano Night at Massimo's.

Tonight, they'll be featuring a Wallin & Barretta tribute to Italian singers. Expect renditions of hits from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Louie Prima, Tony Bennett, and more from the duo, backed by piano, sax, drums, and bass. I'm assuming those guys are all Italian, but I just learned how to properly pronounce bruschetta.

As for Massimo's food, I am all about the fresh pasta. We're talking homemade cannelloni, mushroom risotto, and a linguine with clams, mussels, prawns, pancetta, and mushrooms. Pastas average around $20, secondi from $19.95 for the chicken up to $36 for the prime filet. Get there early and enjoy happy hour (5–7pm), which features $6 cocktails, wine, and small plates. And if you can walk away from the tiramisu, you are a stronger person than I, but all of the desserts sound like a better ending than fading to black.
